Although I have a Two Fish block on order, I was intrigued by the D-I-Y mount using the conduit hangers. So a quick trip to Lowes this morning, and a stop at my local Ace Hardware were all I needed to put it together. The article describing this mentioned using a 3/4 hanger for the handlebars and different sizes for the flashlight. I wasn't sure what to get for my Romisen but I picked up the 1/2 inch. It turns out I should have bought the 3/4 for the light as well. The 1/2 will work (see crappy phone camera pic below), but even though I used a wing nut, it not real easy to remove the light. I have to loosen the wing nut and then spread the clamp with one hand while working the light out with the other. The 3/4 would be perfect--small enough to get a tight fit but large enough for easy removal once the wing nut is loose. The thing I really like about this setup is that you can adjust the beam both horizontally and vertically--something you can't do with a lockblock. I got the clamps and other hardware at Lowes--my local Ace store had a little package of 3/4' heat shrink for $1.99. No shipping, no waiting--a great mount for a little cash!!

Use a similar set-up for my "D-celled" Mag-Lite and Task Force light from Lowes.

Made the same setup for my two TaskForce lights from Lowes. Got the idea from www.nordicgroup.us (http://www.nordicgroup.us)

x2. SMS turned me on to this theory, and I've used it to mount lights and my camera. Loving it. I was less fortunate finding the right conduit hangers, after 3 hardware stores (including a lowes) I went to an industrial supply place. @ $0.50/clamp, and already having heat shring adn hardware lying around, it was one of the cheapest, best working DIY mods I've done in a while, at least on the bike.
