Introductions - hi from london

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

crippled ex courier,ex bike tester,ex rider at moment, will probably be joining hipcylcer's little club soon,
arthritic left knee and hip,and buggered blood supply to left leg.
just spent £350-$700 on a 1998 (?) klein attitude, fairly rare and expensive over here, but the nicest frames i've ever ridden, still trying to track frame down precisely.
no competition experience, work or fun only.

Welcome to BF.
Sorry about the knee.
I have a bad back.
Get some miles in, and just maybe the problems will get better.
Mine did.

keep trying to do a few miles on nice flat tow path that runs alongside grand union canal in my area, you dont get much flatter or easier surface and i still have to give up after half a mile, can ride through the pain,
but left leg runs out of oxygenated blood after 4 or 5 minutes of activity.now been off work for 9 months
because clients in buildings in grounds that i maintaine kept ringing estate office to see if i was ok after watching me fall over for the 14th time that morning.
thats when i knew i had to give in.i used to do 146 miles between london and birmingham on the towpath in about 5 and a half hours(each way!!),about 50/50 hardpack paths and trackless mud,all only about 3 feet wide, and all with the risk of going splash unexpectedly in a few feet of muddy water !!

I hope you are able to get out and enjoy that Klein! Perhaps it was riding to Brum that made your leg give out?
Welcome to BikeForums :D .
