Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Useful, relevant information from your State Bicycle Coordinator.
Commuting, maps, safety, routes, etc.
Very interesting how some States are more bicycle friendly than others.
How would you rate your state?

Good maps and info!
Yea it give you the open line to TXDOT, and I know from lots of experience TXDOT doesn't even seem to know bicycles exist. At the latest project planning I attended they openly and vainly violated their own law on bicycles and pedestrian crossing for a rebuilding of a freeway. They said "planning for bikes and pedestrains at ever intersection with a freeway cost too much" so we chose a few to make accessible. Non of which over the 10 mile stretch have I ever, or ever seen a bicycle or pedestrian cross. When we pointed that out they said it's too late its already been planned...but wait I thought this was the public planning meeting......the local city commissioner got up and walked out...whith about 10 others of us.
