Northern California - Bicycling Magazine Ride Report: Mt. Diablo

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Here's what the ride reports I do for Bicycling mag look like. They're ok but with lots of restrictions. Not pictures of people (faces)...I guess royalty concerns.

My reports here are pretty much people centric, so It's just a tad sterile for me, buy some good "tech" stuff!

I hope this works:)

Good report, Pete.
Are you able to edit it, I think you meant a right turn on Mt. Diablo Scenic, not a left turn.

"In about 8 miles you'll enter Diablo State Park, where you'll take a left on Mt. Diablo Scenic Blvd."

How come the ride trace stops in Danville, and doesn't loop all the way back to the BART station?

Nicely done, Pete.

Having watched your YouTube of the summit climb, I'm impressed to see how you worked the raw material of:

"feeling like crap....lightheaded....oh f&(*...oh F&*(...Holy s^&!"

into

"I really thought my kneecaps might just fall off! I did make it though."

The sign of a true wordsmith :thumb: ;)

Good job, Pete. That's cool that you get to write about all these great rides, while the names and faces of the participants are omitted to protect the innocent. :innocent:

Thanks for sharing!
