Northeast - Glen Burnie Md has lots of bikers

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
This past Saturday I was at a car show on Dorsey Rd. in Glen Burnie at the Old Armory and I saw a ton of bikers riding, I was thinking I should have been home riding as it was a Beautiful! day.
I was impressed that there were that many riders, I was wondering if there was a ride of some kind going on. Recumbents ,road bikes . mtbs, little kids , big kids , men , women there were all there.
You were near the trail head for the B&A trail. There are always a lot of bikers there. And you were also close to the BWI trail.
The B&A trail starts right across the street from the end of the light rail. There is also a connecting trail from the BWI trail to the B&A trail that goes past the armory (across the street on the sidewalk) there are often organized rides (fundraisers that use that route so perhaps it was one of those. But on a weekend on a nice day there are a lot of bikes. You should try it some day.
From the parking lot on the BWI trail to the end of the B&A trail and back its about 32 miles. If you go on to Annapolis for lunch its about 40 miles round trip. It's a nice ride if you never done it before.
If you looking for something about 50 miles PM me for a cue sheet I have a route that also does the BW&A trail.

Okay that makes a lot of sense then as there were a lot of bikers across the street, I was thinking either Glen Burnie has an avid biker community or there was a orginzed ride going on, or both!
I will keep you in mind if I ever get back up that way and wabt to ride. I am about an hour away south of there. Thanks for the info.
