i got the brake extenders for my road bike --the ones that were designed for cyclocross --best thing i've done in a while.
took my lbs four months to get them for my oversized handlebars, but they work great. much recommended, with one caveat --they overlap so that when one applies the front brake, the movement of the cable housing applies some pressure on the rear brake. anyone have any comments on these or a cure for the rear brake application problem (i am really big on not using my rear brake in normal conditions --i hate any rear skid action)?
