Hey Everybody...

Since I have a four day weekend coming up I am looking to put in a few miles on my bike. I want to ride from LA to San Luis Obispo and back. I know the route to get to Santa Barbara from LA but after that I am a little lost. Does anyone know of a route or how I can find a route that will take me from Santa Barbara to San Luis Obispo?

I didn't know where to post this...southern CA or northern CA so I have posted it in both places.

Thanks in advance.

Good luck with the ride- that sounds pretty epic to me, especially if you are going to be carrying all of your own luggage! Why not check out the route of the CA AIDS Lifecycle ride, as they probably do some or all of this route?

Well, the Solvang Spring Double Century goes from Solvang out to SLO. From Santa Barbara, you can wind your way through Goleta, but from there, the only route I know of is to go on 101 through Gaviota Pass, to Solvang.

Here's a bikely route for the Solvang Double. BTW, if you do a double, this is a nice entry level one to start with (even though it is a sub-200 mile ride).
