so yeah you guys prolly see a ton of p7 threads but i couldn't find what i need with search so...

anyway have a niterider trailrat and i want to use the batt pack to make a custom light and i was looking at using the p7 http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12721 the batt is a 6v and the p7 is rated for 3.6-3.7v so i'm thinkin 1 of 2 things, either run 2 wired in series so that would be 7.2v, would 6v be too underpowered? the other thing i might do is just use 1 bulb (which seems bright enough) and then put a resistor in series but i don't see the ohm rating on the p7 so idk what resistor to use so if anybody has any info i could use some help thx

Just use a P7 driver.
http://www.kaidomain.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductId=5486
rated 5.5 to 15 volts. 7.2 volts would be perfect.

I am currently using http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.14413 with a 6 AA battery pack. I figure the driver is crap because it will only pull 1400 mA on fresh batteries. I am still getting more lumens than my R2 running all out.

I have been looking for a good P7 driver and I think that is it.

I would just remove the existing driver and wire the new one in? Does anyone know if this will fit in my existing reflector/pill?
