Ok. I have a shot idea then... One ounce cranberry juice, on ounce chilled vanilla vodka, separate shot glasses, down the juice then chase with the vodka. It tastes just like strawberry cheescake.

The manliest drink alive is not good enough so I went with the... ummm... least manliest. <In best goldmember accent> There is no pleasing you is there?

EDIT: BTW, my wife canceled my man card membership years ago.

...sounds tasty, but too many indgredients and too many steps. Must be one of those fancy-schmancy bartender concoctions.

I had one in 1982 and it was really great.

Here is a really good margarita recipe:

2 parts tequila (good stuff)
1 part Grand Marnier or Triple Sec
1 part fresh strained lime juice
1 part simple syrup*

Put in cocktail shaker with ice and shake about 30 seconds until really cold. Strain into glass.

* Simple syrup: mix equal parts of sugar and water in a small sauce pan. Heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Cool to room temperature.

That's probably why it's called a Widow's Kiss, and not a, Widower's Kiss.

Something I've been experimenting with - working title is Ginger Head. May be changed to Ginger Beard or Gale Force.

2 shots of Old Monk rum (Gosslings may work too in a pinch)
Teaspoon of brown sugar
Half teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice (cin, nutmeg, ginger, etc...)
Fresh ginger root
Gingerale
Lime juice

Throw the ginger in a food processor with enough water to cover it - puree it as much as possible. Take 3-4 tablespoons of the liquid portion and throw it in a shaker with the brown sugar, rum, teaspoon or squirt of lime juice, and pumpkin spice. Shake well with ice, pour in glass, pour in the gingerale on top and gently stir. It'll frost up with a thick head.

Anything with tequila.Tequila poured over a bowl of Cheerios?

Tequila poured into a popsicle tray, then drank really cold since tequila won't freeze in a regular freezer?

Use 100% Resposado tequila like Hornitos, and if you can find some key lime juice it's perfect.

Vodka tonic with lime. Crisp, clean, refreshing, no after taste, not too un-manly.

I'll usually use a tall glass (those POM tea glasses are perfect)filled about 2/3 with cubed ice (crushed melts too fast), with 2 or 3 shots of chilled vodka, top the rest off with the tonic, add a slice or 2 of lime.

Even BETTER. Squeeze some lemon and lime juice. Freeze it into cubes. Add those to the glass instead of water ice cubes. When you add the vodka first, give it a minute to let it melt some of the fruity ice. Then add the tonic.

Make it festive with a neon-colored bendy straw. Those are the best.

The use of really good tequila in a margarita is a waste to me. The other flavors completely overpower the tequila, which is just there primarily to add it's alcohol content to the mix.

Really good tequila should be sipped.

The margarita tastes best with Grand Marnier as opposed to Triple Sec.

Here's the White Russian recipe from my college dorm days:
1 vanilla shake from whatever fast food joint is open at 11:30 pm
Copious amount of Kahlua
Copious amount of vodka

Stir alcohol into shake and drink through a straw. :p
