Touring - choosing fenders

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Is there any concensus about what are the best all around fenders for a touring bike? I had zefal fenders on my old bike, but now I see that a lot of people are recommending planet or other models? Why do you prefer the type of fenders that you do?

When I got my bike I asked my shop to get some fenders, preferably with mud flaps.
They got the Planet Bike Freddy Fenders.

They work.
I'm sure the other companies make fine fenders, too.
I have some cheap Zefal plastic fenders on my commuter. They don't cover as well. I wouldn't recommend them for touring where you probably want better protection.

I'm shopping for a set myself... I have Zefal now, and would never buy them again - hard to mount, hard to keep adjusted, and they've warped amazingly fast so that they'll no longer stay parallel to the wheel through their entire arc...

SKS Chromo's are great, Planet Bike fenders are good too... can't go wrong with either... Planet Bike are a little cheaper than the SKS's... Go with full fenders of course... and remember - no matter what anyone tells you - fenders are damn sexy.

Have a pair of SKS on my winter beater, and they work great. They are black, and in the sun they have a smokey color to them. Easy to adjust and store when nicer weather comes around.
Cheers
I just put one of BikePlanet's Freddy Fenders on the back of my commuter. It's got the mud flap and works extraordinarily well (I got to test it this morning on a very wet bike path), I stayed completely dry. They're well made and damn good looking too.
