I am getting an Alien sometime in the future and also looking to get into track racing. The reason I like the alien frames is there no braz-ons or drilled holes anywhere, just a clean frame plus they won't break my wallet. How do these bikes stand up in the track environment?

Geometry is spot on for a steep track. I haven't taken mine out to Alpenrose yet but I will in the future, possibly on a dry sunny winter day.

Sounds good to me. The only thing I need to do now is find a velodrome in Connecticut, which seems like a no go. Looks like the closest one to me is in New York City.

There's one in New Hampshire as well, but that's a converted kart track with very shallow banking.

Come on out to Kissena in the spring. It's worth the outing.

for those who already have one-

or those who are thinking of getting one-

did you get it unfinished, or powdercoated whe you bought it from them?

are these frames light?

I just felt it was kind of pricy for a 400 frame unpainted-

but that might just be my cheapness creaping in..haha

They are not particularly light steel frames. If you want light steel, either go custom, get a keirin frame with Kaisei 8630 or Columbus Genius, or opt for aluminum.

My Alien built up around 19.5lb.
