Mountain Biking - Pics from trails (sort of)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I was asked to go around and try and get some pics of the trails here. Unfortunately we are still buried in snow and have a lot of runoff from melting snow making snow glacier rivers (as my frozen feet know)...so here are some shots of the trails as I hiked them. So it is kind of bike related...;)
This is the entrance to a short single track. I am 6'5 and this came up to my neck. I had to climb it to get to the trail itself.

A trail I ride daily and suddenly a glacier river is in the way.

End of one of my favorite trails. Fast and technical singletrack. This is a very small part of a long rooted trail.

This one is kind of funny. There should be 4 entrances right in front of me across the road. To a trail called mel's dilema. damn snow.

And finally. For Klein. Some pics of 2 of the 5 mountains that surround me. Whistler and Rainbow (I couldn't see blackcomb and I was at the base of sprout.
And Crashing, River is buried. I was only able to get about 10 ft into entrance 2 before I sunk into the snow and got a soaker from glacier water and really couldnt get much further. I think we are a good month away.

I have a bigger version if you want it. I just couldn't post it on here as it was too big.

that first pic with the snow is really strange. Its march and its that high? Looks like that mound won't melt until the end of july

I should have gotten a pic from inside the trail. Its about 10 ft tall from the trail and 5 from the road. The trail actually slopes down into the trees.
Normally I would agree about snow melt, but come mayish, once it gets hot that snow will be gone fast...I hope. The snow is quite a bit different here then in ontario. Not rigid or hard, very fluffy. Makes it hard to walk on :)
