After being a “Team Member” with Performance Bike. Com for sometime ,and a customer for even longer I have finally had it with their poor customer service. After ordering a helmet that was in stock and paying for it I waited for delivery with my confirmation e-mail in hand. After a few days I called to inquire. The nice young lady advised that it was a “surprise back order” and the new shipment was expected at a later date. As to when exactly she didn’t know. BUT if I wished to have a newer model at the new higher price I could. I said I would wait for the model in the size I ordered to get in at the sale price Performance confirmed. Two days later Performance advises by telephone that again I could have the helmet at the new price otherwise no helmet. I would think in all fairness a large company would honor it’s own confirmation and supply the helmet at the advertised price. Another lost customer.

While not a bait and switch, they most likely just sold out really quickly, it is a bit insulting to offer you a higher priced item at that higher price after they have confirmed your order.

But wait there's more. They have not even credited my account with a full refund. I hope it is a mistake. While it is only a few dollars the point is they never shipped anything and appear to still be charging me for that. The sad thing is they can't even get their stories straight between them. Hopefully they will get it straight today.
Update: Performance apparently does not refund shipping at the same time as a refund for the product. Two separate refunds. So much for being a "Team Member".
