im restoring an old columbia goodyear hiway patrol mens bicycle and want to cruse the neighborhood on her when finished, should i restore the orig hubs or replace with newer smoother ones? thanks

I'd try to stay original if the original hubs aren't too damaged to reuse.

Unless they are toasted, it should be no big deal to overhaul them and the best part is you already know they fit.
