hi friends,
i'm 25 and just recently started commuting and riding some longer routes around the city. i plan on continuing to ride through the winter, so i'll be needing to get set up for that pretty soon.
one of my friends works at a shop here in saint louis and scored a nice 86 trek elance for me (someone dropped it off at the shop to get rid of it...just happened to be my size). i've been riding the hell out of that, and just recently had a good cheap craigslist find - a late 80s centurion prestige. i would like to learn more about repair and maintenance, so i'm sure i'll have plenty of questions.
so i guess by default i'm into the older bikes...after all, they're a bit more in my price range...
i look forward to learning a ton here!
