Is there any racing in the Atlanta area in January? I see there is that new Southern Cross event on 1/24 which I may come down and do but Id like other options as well.

Tennessee (http://www.tbra.org/raceschedule.php)
North Carolina (http://www.nccyclocross.com/)
The Columbia TN series is relatively small, but well-run and fun.

P.S. I didn't know about the Southern Cross race. Very tempting. Looks like a lot of "fun".

I'm registered for Southern Cross and I live up in Ohio. Should be a really fun event and it was even in the news at cyclingnews

I assume there will be long stretches of unsupported trail; I wouldn't want to have to walk out of that.

I guess what I would ride would depend on the weather. Snow and Ice? Riding my mountain bike. Other wise my cross bike with tubulars.
