"My name is Brandon and I'm here with my twenty inch non folder. Anyone want a fight about it? Right - ok then."
:)

I have been lurking for a long time, but I feel it is time to step out and introduce myself. Mi nombre es Brandon and I currently live in Korea. I'm fairly new to biking, but thanks to members of this forum through post searching i have learned A LOT, and i thank you all for that. There is one problem, I do not have a folder but my question to you all is, am I welcome to stay in here with you guys? ( the other forums don't feel as friendly....) My bike is a Goeniks Mini Rider, the 20" version. I don't know much about it or it's producer but here is an image. please tell me if i can stay....

Of course you can stay!

We are nice guys and girls here.

If I'd been you, I'd have said:

Hi:) sweet minis
Think twice if you want to stay - you might end up with more folders you want.

Well I am thinking about buying a Lespo Popcorn 3.2 as my first folder. If anyone would like to help me decide on that it can be found here http://www.samchuly.co.kr/english/product/product_sub.html?bcode=573 any input would be appreciated.

Honestly they have a lot of folders and small wheel bikes here if anyone wants a bike like mine or any other I would be glad to help you out. All three of the bikes cost $220 usd each, they were originally $280, but my friend had purchased a bike from him before and he liked us, I guess...............

If anyone would like to do a background check on me you can go here

I haven't been very active on there since I found this site though.....

That's a very generous offer. I'm a little tight in the wallet right now, but I'll keep it in mind for the future.

Good idea! I normally ride a 62 cm frame. I don't know how to size a mini for myself. ricebean can work that out (with the help of the folder forum) and send me my mine.

Seriously, I think the mini-bikes are really cool. I wish they were more common in the U.S.A.

It looks okay to me, but you know, the devil is in the details (and I couldn't get the spec page to load). Frame material? Seatpost size? How high does the seatpost go? What's the rear brake: is that a Shimano Rollerbreak (good) or a band brake (I've heard those are not so good)? and so on.

That said, for that kind of money, I could live with some shortcomings as long as the frame is okay.

Do not worry about such a small technicality. I did not actually own a folding bike when I joined way back when. I did purchased my 3 folders since then of course. I rather people not buy a folder or any type of bike until he/she reads the posts and join up with this and other forums. Then make their own decisions about what type of bike & when to buy it.

There is only one site trhat i know of that has this bike, it is www.gmarket.co.kr (http://www.gmarket.co.kr) you will probably have to babel fish it to get anywhere with it, but my bike as well as the others were bought from a vendor to trains stops away. We all paid $220 usd for ours the gmarket bikes are a little more expensive. I also do not know there shipping procedures, sorry. If there is any interest, I will devote another thread to pictures of my bike, just tell me what you would like to see.

My friend that owns the white mini rider also owns a geoniks folder with a band rear brake, its scary to say the least. As far as the Popcorn bike, I will ride to a closer bike shop and try to get more info.
