Hello from Orlando, Florida.. our horribly hot season has finally come to an end, and the cool weather is letting more and more people ride bikes everywhere! Tragically, gas just fell below $2 a gallon, so no one is actually riding, hehe.

I've been riding bikes my whole life, but only mountain bikes, and never seriously. I've had about 4 stolen since I moved to the states (I'm Canadian originally), but would always buy a new bike within a few months. I can't imagine not having a bicycle.

I'm hoping to get in to cycling a little more seriously, as I recently found out that my friends enjoy it, and it would be a very easy way to get some exercise in (especially with my incredibly inefficient, giant tires walmart mountain bike that takes an immense amount of power to ride, hehe).

So.. that's it. Hello =3

Howdy and welcome to the forums.

I started back cycling on a $100 mountain bike from Academy. I'd had it about a year, brakes didn't work, deraileur was pretty iffy, just generally a piece of junk, and then somebody stole it. Figured it served 'em right. But check into a good U-lock and that'll avoid a lot of the problem.

Well now I have a great lock and use a few different tricks to keep it safe (the best of which is bringing it inside when I get home, hehe).

Thanks for the welcome!
