I am in the process of updating an older bike. I don't want to swap out the whole crankset since the arms are still in great condition, but the rings definitely need help. I was wondering if anyone has some recommendations on chainrings to fit a XT 4-arm crankset. Thanks all.

Sorry for the typo, but it is actually a 5-arm spider.

Race Face rings are very good. Heck, replacement Shimano rings are as good as any others.

There is another brand, but their name escapes me right now. Avenir, Vuelta, ahhhhh what is their name??????

I'll think of it in a minute!

Vuelta or TA was what I was thinking!

I think you're thinking of Vuelta. They make a pretty wide assortment of chainrings in all sizes... even up to 60T for some BCDs. Another chainring manufacturer you might be thinking of is Blackspire.

Forgot about Blackspire, but it was TA Specialites, they're French and thus, outrageously expensive, but very good quality!
