Northern California - Short, 20mi route through Winters?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
My son wants to go for a ride with me tomorrow. Thought it would be fun to route through Winters for a lunch break. So, suggestions for a 20 to 25 mile route, low traffic, flat to gentle rollers?
He's 7, so is a little traffic shy and getting tired of the ARBT.

I suggest starting in Davis on Russell Boulevard, maybe parking near the Graduate at Sycamore. Take the bike path west along Russell until it ends, then left on Stevenson Bridge Road, right on Putah Creek Road to Winters. It's probably about 28 miles though, but you can shorten it by heading west on Russell until you find a place to start (there's an elementary school just north of Russell pretty close to Stevenson Bridge Road).

When I don't have much time I do the Dixon/Pedrick loop. Very flat with low traffic (the exception being Sievers road ~2 miles of no shoulder/bike lane).
Ended up just pulling up a map of Winters last night. We did a loop to the South and East of town. Good ride. I'll file a report later on.
