Yup, pwned a roadie....and his little dog, too!
(By roadie, I mean a person on a bicycle.)
One of my goals has been to unicycle around White Rock Lake, which is a nice 10 mile loop of bicycle trails in Dallas. So here a while back, I got a 28" unicycle, faster than the 20" I had been learning on, and spent an extra $50 for the most comfortable seat available. So I finally got out there this afternoon to give it a try. I was riding along all right, but kept getting passed by everyone, and I mean everyone, old, young, fat, fit, pulling trailers, little kids on little kid bikes, you name it. But finally, I did manage to pass one guy that was riding his bike very slowly while walking his little fluffball of a dog. So I did my mental victory dance and kept on riding. And I did finally make it all the way round. Still had some seat-comfort issues. I think I can make that seat 50% more comfortable by losing 1/3 of my weight. But that may be a while. Had a terrible time free-mounting a couple of times- can do that on my smaller unicycle, but on this one, sometimes it works and sometimes it just doesn't.
