I don't know what to say, 7 months is lllooonnngg time. How offten do u bmx, or practise biking? It might be a fear thing, like a dog bit u in the balls and now you're scared of dogs? I'll give u some pointers,
-practise bringing your front tire up, do that for awhile
-practise doing endos on curbs or other things until you're pretty good at them
-when u've mastered both bring up ur front tire as far as ur confortable with, point your toes down to get grip and pull them up, push the bars forward, and crouch to ur maximum extent. You will want to usually get ur back tire down first.

It could be that your bike is too heavy for you, but i don't think thats a possibility if yourr 14.

Go to http://bmxbasics.org/new/bmx0703.html it is THE best bmx help page, I suggest that everyone should go and see it once! :D

You're probably just yanking up on the handlebars, but leaning too far back. Lean much more forward when you pull up, and hop up with your whole body. Just like if you were standing on the ground, standing still, and you would hop in the air. Leaning forward when you pull up will help bring the back of the bike up, too. Some people hop the whole bike into the air at once & other people pull the front end up, then the back end, as if they were going over an invisible hump. I also kind of curl my toes around the front of the pedals....they're not really "holding on" but if you put pressure back toward the back of the bike on both pedals it also helps to lift the back end off the ground.

just keep plugin away at it. set up a 2x4 or something small and try jumping over it. once you have it down start putting bigger things in place of the 2x4. Isn't this how everyone learned how to bunny hop!?!?!?.... and what they said ^^^
