I took my rear tire off tonight and saw a 2" by 1/4" rip in the rubber.
Only the first layer underneath was worn away.
I know when it happened. I hooked a pant leg and threw my chain, locked the back wheel and skidded to a stop riding downtown on a bike trail tonight. Then I rode on it for a couple of hours. It wasn't untill I went to adjust by chain tension back at home that I saw there was anything wrong.
I REALY want to learn about these sew-up tires. Any links/references to information that would tell me a good type of tire for roads and how to put it on my rim would be GREATLY appreciated.
I know pretty much nothing about this kind of tire, but since I just rode one for a couple of hours when any other tire I've ever had would have been flat, I want to learn.
