Any out there switch from alum to carbon bars? What brand did you go to and what are your impressions? I've seen some pretty reasonable prices out there. Thoughts?

I have Easton EC 90s- they seem stiffer than the AL bars I previously had. I purchased them with a new bike when I was getting carried away with carbon. I'd ask yourself WHY you want carbon bars. There really isn't much weight savings (if any) and bars aren't an area where vibration damping is really an issue. Stiffness is rarely an issue with any bar... for the most part, they are arguable "fashion."

Those ECS-90's are definitely the ticket - fashion-wise. Are they worth the buck-seventy or so? Tough to say. The Deda Synopsis are $400 and they are the bomb also, but I can't see myself spending even half that.

Need vs. want once again.

Seems to be the going reaction amongst posters and the LBS know-it-alls. Will save my $ for a pair of X1s.

I have read only good things about the new FSA K Wing carbon handlebar. And based on the popularity of there carbon cranksets I would be comfortable buying these. Just waiting for them to show up in the jewel case at the LBS to tempt me. Also, FSA always has a very competitive price.

I saw the KWing in Colorado Cyclist catalog. Looks intriguing. Where have you seen reviews? Post a link if you can locate it. Thanks!
