I need replace a shredded rear derailleur on a cheap Schwinn Hybrid.
I have gleaned that the stock derailleur is a Shimano SIS MRX 7-speed of some sort, but markings aren't very clear.

I have come across some SRAM derailleurs online that list compatibility with Shimano 6/7 speed shifters, will these work? is there anything I am missing that i should consider before purchasing this derailleur?

actuation ration needs to be the same between the shifter and the derailleur. Wrong ratio and shifting will not work. 1:1 or 2:1.
