I've had this Colnago for a couple of months and I'm just now really starting to "warm-up" to it. From the pics I've posted, what year do you guys think it to be? I'm guessing late 80s but I'm not too positive. I haven't really taken a look at the components to check for the date codes, but I will this weekend. I guess I'm just being lazy, but I know you guys don't mind having a look and helping me out. I remember when I first got into road cycling and wished I had a nice quality bike. In fact I lusted for a Colnago or Geurciotti; I now have more than one of each. This C&V business is a slippery slope and for that I hate you all for getting me addicted. Thanks!:D

aw, crap. could go get addicted to crack cocaine, crystal meth, oxycontin. Bikes are way better, and lots cheaper. And, if you ever find an end to the addiction, you can sell 'em off.
Try that with a crack pipe.
Looks to my eye like a late '80's bike - that is an SL sticker, no?

Beautiful - but do something about those Deep V's - please!

P.S.: Haven't forgotten about the Alyeska. Just trying to get the gumption to pull it in the house and pack the damn thing.

Probably early 90's (maybe very late 80's).

The Deep V's came with it as the previous owner used to race it when he was junior cyclist. He now only races full carbon bikes. I got it for a song because he wanted to get rid of his "old cheap bike." Glad that trade is still on. I was thinking you were having second thoughts.

early 90's (the in-tube brake cable, the seat stay arrangement, the chrome head lugs)

That's what I thought, yet the seat cluster and the chrome head lugs I've seen on 1988 and 89 Colnagos. Not really important but what the heck. She's really nice and handles fairly well. I really like the way the Campy Crankset looks on it. I also now know why some people love the Suntour Superbe Pro components. The RD Shifts beautifully!!
