how much do you want to spend? You will deff need something with a 21"tt.

If you want to spend the money, the Verde Spectrum is a great bike and its around 550 and its available with a 21 tt

ya but a twenty inch tt is way to small for you

not only is it too small for you it has all un-sealed bearings. which are just going to be a headache

20"tt is something someone who hasnt hit 5 ft yet should ride. even a 20.5 would be pushing it for you.

you could get the gap, which is the next model up. that has a 20.5

or for 20 dollars more, get the whip. which is a 20.75tt. and you get a better frame, double wayy back rim, sealed cassette and sealed bb.

and still the whip is only 50 dollars more than the launch

20" isn't necessarily too small. It is all about preference. I knew a 6'1'' who rode an 18" for a few months and moved to a 20" later because 18" is pretty small. He said it was easier to throw the bike around.

i agree that a lot of it is preference. but only to a certain point

that person you know is just plain dumb.

20 is way to small, and it going to feel way to cramped. there is no arguing it. 20.5 is borderline, but again there is preference.

i know someone who is 6'2" and rides a 20.5 but a 20 inch is just insane

Go wit a 21 or at least 20.75". Get full CroMo and sealed hubs/BB. Worth every penny. The new Black Eye Park Pro (20.75) and 08 Verde Modus 21" come to mind. http://oldskoolcycles.com/Verde_Modus.aspx

I am 6'1" and ride a Stolen Wrap`20.75" top tube(tt). It came with 8" rise bars and fits me perfectly. if you were close I'd let you test ride the ting so you could get a feel. Not a bad bike for $330.

Edited to add: And I weigh >200 lbs and the full 4130 Chromo frame has been holding up to my punishment, along with the stock wheelset and other components.

Lately I've really been into Bear Republic's Racer 5 +1

One of 2008's best bikes. For 09 they went non full CroMo :(.
