Hey All,
I've contacted somebody regarding a Bilatto road bike, full SR equipped for $600 obo. He lists it as a chromoly aluminum frame? and he hasn't sent me pics yet. I know that the Bilatto Bros built framesets for Lemond, etc but I thought they were through late 80s or so. Can anybody give me any thoughts as to a good ballpark price seeing as I have very limited info at this point? Thanks!

no on the chromoly aluminum. he is just not a metallurgist. It most likely is a Reynolds Chromoly, and the name makes him think of his mom's aluminum foil manufacturer. If it is in close to perfect shape and the group is full SR then it would probably be worth $600, depending on where you are. But more realistically, a private sale of a used bike would be 1/3 to 2/3 of that number, heavily dependent on condition.

Kurt, of course, will give you $3.50.
