I was just wondering if anyone recognizes this aluminium mtb-frame. I recently bought it on e-bay (40 euros in Germany) and I have nearly finished building the bike (with bits I bought on e-bay). The paint finish is not particularly impressive (gloss white) but the basic frame looks OK and is not too heavy. The frame number underneath is AT8D00359.
I am just a little curious as the seller didnīt seem to know much about it. She said she had bought it from someone else on e-bay but had not got round to using it.
Can any one tell me anything about the origin of the frame and whether, for example, it is likely to be an amateur job which will fall apart at high speed putting me in hospital for a year?

hmmm as I thought - the origin of the frame is still shrouded in mystery- anyway here is the final home- made mountain bike- what do you think- it has turned out quite well even though I say so myself

I saw that she had two similar frames a white one and a black one for sale after I bought this one, it looks like they have been sold though, the handle of the seller is "zahnfee2001" on ebay.de. Could be she has some more.
I took the bike out for a forest run today - it was really great - it doesnt get much better- cruising through the trees in the sunshine on a bike that you planned and built yourself.

Looks good. How it rides is the important part, and it sounds like you are very happy.
I do always wonder about people that sell something and don't know anything about it. And then they have another one?????

she did say upfront that her husband had bought 3 frames and not got round to building them up- so theres no indication that there was anything wrong
