I'm bidding on something non bike related on eBay (an accordion), which is in Germany. Like many German ebayers, the seller won't take Paypal, instead insisting on IBAN transfer. This costs about 30 Euro from UK banks, and is amazingly hard to set up. What I'm hoping is that some kindly forumer might allow me to Paypal them the money, and then do the IBAN transfer, which I understand is easy and cheap to do in Germany......
