Joe

Have been away a couple of weeks, and during the interim you did an upgrade.

Using AOL 9.0 and XP Home on my Dell, I am getting all sorts of "Run Time Error - object expected" Errors with the question "Do you wish to Debug?" at the opening screen and all throughout. I.e.,

While checking "new messages" and clicking on a forum, I got at least 10 continuous identical "Debug" messages, and had to click through them before I could get to read the message.

I never check "Yes" to the Debug question, as then it takes me through a series of seemingly endless and pointless questions while never resolving any issues.

Is it just me?

Does anyone know how to "turn off" he "runtime error reporting error message'object expected?"

I had to click "no" to the debug request 10 times to get to be able to write this message.

I have searched the AOL and Dell Database for a solution. I don't know where the message orginiates. Is it windows originated?

HELP this is crazy!

We have had several exchanges privately. Thanks. I was most curious as to whether other folks with AOL were also experiencing this, or was I the only one, which is why I posted it publicly.

I found some info about posible bad javascript. I'll go over the code line by line and see if thats a problem.

You are using AOL, that is the problem right there :D

I don't use AOL, but I think the browser still runs of IE, but I may be wrong. Turning off script debugging in IE might turn it off in AOL as well. AOL might also have a section to do this separately though. Maybe in the little taskbar icon.

To do it in IE go to Tools->Internet Options->Advanced-> and check Disable Script Debugging.

I have used the site in IE and Firefox with XP and have not seen the problem.

It works OK if I use IE after signing on with AOL.

However, right now it is working fine anyway, even using AOL 9,0 with XP. It does just fine on my other computer with Win 98 and AOL 9.0.

Have turned off script debugging as you suggested. Hope it works. Thanks.
