For disk brakes, how often should the pads be changed? I've only had mine for a couple days, and already i see wear.

you should see wear...thats how the brakes stop, the pads are used up. I say look for a manufactures recommendation for the throwout tolerance. I can only assume that they have this, just as car pads do.

When the pads are the thickness of a dime change them.

Disc brake pads should last months, even with hard riding.

anyway, back to mountain biking... doesnt sound like you need to replace your pads yet
