Road Cycling - R2000 ???

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Just ordered a 2004 R2000.
Any comments regarding weight, descending and fork quality?
Thanks

Great frame. Stiff and agile handling bike. I have a 3000. Fork on the 2000 is very good. The one on the 3000 is stiffer front to back but a little more forgiving side to side so you do not get much chatter at speed in turns. The 2000's fork is the next one down. I have it on my other cannondale. It is very good.

Thanks Got my R2000 a couple of weeks ago and it weighs 17.5 lbs. (without pedals). Haven't been over 40 mph so far but it seems to descend quite well. I thought the fork was the same as the one on the R3000 but I could be wrong. I am well pleased with the ride quality for an aluminum bike and feel like I can ride for long distances without any problems. Good luck!
Got the R3000 too, but the frame is the same the difference in the fork is that the 3000 is full carbon. It accelerates very quickly and it doesn't feel like any of the power you put into the pedals is wasted. I've raced on it twice this spring and already it is going to be my favorite. Coupled with the Ksyrium SSC's it is stiff and ready for sprints. It climbs like a dream too. Enjoy the ride.
