I recently rescued a old peugeot that my father owned, it was left to rot outside by the barn for 15 years or so. I ride a lot of bikes, bullet bike , and I also do a lot of down hill moutainbike riding. Road cycles I've never ridden, but want to. My father claims that he purchased it in 1968 used. It has a campagnolo gran sport derailer, normandy hubs...... The frame has been repainted at some point and there are no serial numbers. It has the rear brake cable threading through the top tube of the frame, it has the hooks for an old pump, and it is crome finished or something like that. I've done my research and have been unable to find photos from that era to idenify the frame. The campagnolo gran sport derailers, I found were produced in the late 50's early 60's. The way the rear brake cable threads through the top tube is unlike any peugeot I have seen.
So I was hoping someone may be able to tell me what I've got. It really needs new wheels and if I did that I'd like to put campagnolo cranks on it, if they would fit this old frame. That would all depend on if it would be worth it, or not. So any info you could give me would be greatly apreciated, thank you.
