So my superflash went through the washer and still works :) pretty confident in it now. The only thing that sucks is that the black clip broke off that is used to mount to the mount/loop...any ideas? I might try to use some apoxy to attach some makeshift clip, or drill two holes in back cover so i can loop a zip tie through it. If anyone has anything better let me know!!

I drilled a hole in mine to try to bolt it, but the head of the bold interfered with the electronics on the inside. I hadn't thought of zip-ties. If you zip-tie it, you might want to fill the holes with silicone sealant.

I'm not surprised it survived the washer. The two I have have survived a ton of stuff, including getting run over by a car (after it fell off the bike).

You might try contacting PB to get a new clip, or, talk to the place you bought it from.

Not a doubt in my mind that my Performance shop would replace it.

Well, the clip on my other one looks removable (the black clip on the white casing) but the casing slot broke so the whole black tab is lost. I took the white casing and drilled two holes, drilled one on the backing plate that mounts on your bike, wire-tied the casing to the bike mount, put the guts and the front case back on and rubberbanded it together real well. Seems to hold up alright although I might have to glue the backing plate to the casing but I managed so save the blinky so I'm happy.

Sounds like a job for Gorilla Glue.

jb weld smokes gorilla glue for stuff like this!

i would try calling/writing PB. tell them your story and how impressed you were that it survived. then politely ask if they would be willing to send or sell you a replacement for the broken part.

if that doesn't work. and epoxy with the old parts doesn't pan out. i would check the LBS to see if they have a old/broken light you could have to rob for the bracket, etc. i bought a cheap blinkie from the chinamen at the flea market for a dollar on saturday for just such an occasion.

i ordered a PB stealth from a LBS over a month ago... he says noone has them in stock! i hate being impatient, but im tempted to just get the original one hehas in stock and order a stealth online.

Well, part of my rigging process involved cutting up my other bracket so the backing plate to the blinky is semi-permanently mounted to the bike bracket so I'll probably just leave it or see if PB could send me a new rear casing so I can use it on my bag as well or something.

You're the second one on the forums that has sent a PBSF through the wash, that still works.
