He is now hooked on Wisps!!!!
More to come later.

Thought you might like it Aaron!
Since it's mostly an RSW I thought it would be OK on here:thumb:
Engine is 50cc Mobylette I believe.
Speed I wouldn't know exactly, but I would reckon 35 or so.
The rear carrier came off of one of my RSWs and the saddle is another period Raleigh and much more comfortable than the original.

It has been thoroughly rebuilt.
Wheels/engine/brakes and a pretty good repaint.
Amazing what you can do with RSWs?
I think it's great.

What is an AV7 and who made it? Mobylette? which IIRC was on the ubiquitous Motobecane Mopeds? I have had a few in my day, but usually had Tomos or the Vespa Ciao models, and would love to have some of the nicer ones back.:o

the earlier moby motors were av7s i think and the later av 10s..50v mobys were variated, and the others had just regular clutches

I'm not sure about AV7 but I know it's got an automatic clutch, and is single speed.
I have enough problems trying to understand bicycles, but had an interest in this one 'cos I donated one of my rough RSWs for parts for it!!
I can't be dealing with all the Road Tax, MOT, insurance, number plates, petrol, crash hats, etc. etc.
My bikes are probably faster too....
They're certainly cheaper to run, and healthier:)

If you like Tomos, my pal with the Wisp has got 3 currently.
One is white and in excellent order.
I'm trying to get him to join the forum, but a lot of mopeds might not be PC methinks:p

I was just talking to the owner on the phone and he started it up while I was talking to him.
Sounded a bit like a lawnmower, but it started OK and he was about to go out on a run.
Not heard back from him yet though, and I'm getting worried.
Rural Worcestershire (UK) is not a place to get lost in.....
