Ok, this just arrived 30 minutes ago from my dad. Serial number is 863715 on the bottom bracket which, if I'm researching properly would be a 1968 model. From there I have no clue as to the model - it's fairly heavy so I'm thinking it's on the lower end of the model range.
My dad got this bike as a fixed gear from his bike shop back in the mid to late 80's and used it on his trainer for a long time. He eventually had it changed back to a 5 speed. It's got a Shimano rear derailleur, Maillard front hub, but I can't tell on the rear. There's are braze on pump pegs. Simplex front derailleur, cottered cranks (unknown brand), Lyotard pedals, Philippe stem, Simplex shifters and Altenburger Synchron brakes. The parts seem to make it somewhat of a "mutt". This, I'm sure will be one heck of an education.
A lot of work is needed on this and I have to evaluate the rust on the right chainstay. If it's too bad the bike will stay on the wall.
