Well, if you read my previous thread, I managed to get the *****-of-a-screw out. Now, I've gotta replace it. Easy, right? NOT. It's a 6mm Allen screw. I stopped by Home Depot...they're out of stock. Le Target didn't have it either. Where else could I go? Would a bike shop sell me just one or two of these screws?

A bike shop may just GIVE you one or two of those screws.

Try a real hardware store

The True Value stores around here have 'em in Stainless Steel; make sure you get the Stainless ones, unless you want to leave it rusted in place after a while. Look for the wall that has a zillion little drawers of fasteners and such.

Is there a Grainger Store near you?
We have ACE Hardware stores here as well!
In addition, there is a Stainless Bolts and Fasteners specialty store nearby.

I can usually find what I need.

This is why I still support small stores and bike shops. Last time I went into a hardware store cause I needed 2 screws and a nut, they were on the house, when I went into home depot for 2 washers, the guy told me to buy the box.

The last real hardware store closed its doors in 1997 :D Bummer. I'm walking distance from one "real" hardware store, biking distance from at least three, and short driving distance from probably six or eight.
