Road Bike Racing - 2002 Race Listings

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I've been looking for races for this season(road & track alike) on the internet, to plan my racing season this year. I haven't been able to come up with much. Have any of you racers found any sites that have a decent listing of races up yet? Or will I just have to impatiently wait over here??? Specifically, I'm looking for anything in the northeast (yes, U.S.). I'll look for the big trips later...
Thanks,
velo

Not a racer yet, but giving it serious consideration for this season, so I've been looking too. The best I've come up with is http://www.bikeride.com and http://www.sencomp.com The first one lists events all over the country . . . Only two listed for the northeast so far - both in NY and both in June. The second site is actually Sensible Computers, but if you go to "Cycling" and then to "Schedule" you'll get what is posted as the 2002 New England & NY Road Race Schedule. So far, only one listing - the Bethel Spring Series (very close to home for me!) If you or anyone else comes up with any better sites, I'd like to hear about them too.
Yup, been there, done that. The best one I've found over the years is: www.cyclingcalendar.com (http://www.cyclingcalendar.com) But even that doesn't have much up now. I want FLYERS!!!

I'm not sure but Truesport.com is one. Also go to the USCF site it will give you all the USCF Track & Road events.
Hope this helps...Wishes of many wins!
Yeah, I've been to Truesport. Linda is actually giving up the site. She's looking for someone else to take it over though, so that's good. USA Cycling usually has nothing of importance, unfortunetly for us.
Velo,
American Cycling Network has a calender up.(http://www.americancycling.net/2001cal.htm)
Not a whole lot listed before May for the Northeast....
Good luck,
Marty

Yup, that's the national calendar...the big stuff isn't hard to find...I think I'm just going to have to wait a few weeks before anything comes up. Thanks for your help, though, everyone!

Velo - Just an update . . . Don't know if you race Masters, but if so, the MCRA has the beginnings of a schedule up on its website now.
Velo; www.cyclinglinks.com has links to many racing sites. Don't know if it will be helpful to you.
Thanks guys, information is just now starting to trickle out...so I'm having a little luck.

Northeast season races are now up at www.narwise.org. Plenty there to choose from! -- By the way, what does "LAJORS" mean?
Yay! Thank-you. Now if only they had websites... Yes well, you can't have everything!
LAJORS stands for: Lance Armstrong Junior Olympic Race Series.
