I have the Garmin GPSMap 60CSx.

LIke it. Want to upload routes from Utah Mountain Bike Trails to the unit.

I do not have a clue how to do this.

I have the route files sitting on the laptop but can't seem to get the software to read them.

Anyone out there with a solution?

The GPSMap 60CSx looks like it uses the same software as my edge 705, what I do is use www.bikely.com to design a route or find a route and then save it as .gpx format, I then load it via the usb cable into the GPx folder on the edge 705, its then available in my "saved rides" list. This might be similiar for the GPSMap 60CSx.

When you actually select one of the bikely rides and go into it, there is a "share" tab with a download to .gpx format

there are quite a few Utah MTB rides on the site

What format is the route file in? native Mapsource .gdb file or something else?

Tnx for the tip. Let me give it a try.

BTW - anyone know if Google sells their terrain map cartography seen on goggle maps. Some really nice shaded relief topos.

This came from Garmin:

Thank you for contacting Garmin International.

I will be happy to assist you. If you would like to upload routes onto
your unit, they will have to be in the .GPX or .CSV format. These are
the only known formats recognized by Mapsource. If you have any other
questions please contact Garmin.

Wonder if there are converter programs out there.
