was wondering if anyone could suggest a bike to look at. i'm planning to do XC stuff, a good amount of trail riding and the occasional DH.
i tried out a stumpjumper and was wondering if it could take the pounding from trails and downhills.
also does anyone know anything about:
ironhorse warrior expert
jamis komodo fx
kona caldera

All the bikes listed are good bikes.

For a more budget bike, look at www.harobikes.com, they're good bikes, a bit on the heavier (read stronger) side, but usually have comparable specs with other bikes costing 10-20% more.

Ironhorse is putting out some very nice bikes these days.

Kona's Rock, all of em.

My preference is Specialized. I like the way their bikes feel. Their geometry suits me!

Don't forget Giant, Trek and Gary Fisher. (Not a big fan of Trek and GF)

Others really stepping up are K2 and as previously mentioned Haro.
