There sale is $30.00 for a record hub, I wrote and asked what the rim spokes and tire were.

here is the lisiting:

"For sale is a vintage Campagnolo Record Track/Road Bike Rear Wheel. This wheel is in great shape, and would be perfect for someone who is restoring a vintage track/road bike. Wheel is in perfect working order, completely trued. hub is a Vintage Campagnolo Record hub, it takes a 5 or 6 speed freewheel. Hub has recently been rebuilt. It does have a name and phone number etched into the outer body, but this only effects how it looks, no performance issues whatsoever. I do not have the quick release scewer to go with it, but those can be found easily.

Fair or not, he also has a chrous front hub that is not built into a rim for 30.00

I found out the rim is a Rigida, 700cc clincher. So...good deal?

The way the seller throws around the word "track" makes me nervous, but I'd want to see a pic of the hub. For a nuovo record hub w/ oiler port, that's a very good deal. For a nuovo tipo, it's okay assuming the rim is true. Pics are needed.

I would say if it fits your needs and its what you "want" then just buy it , if it isnt what you thought you really "wanted" sell it .

I'd take it - especially at that price. Rigida rim would be the right era for a racing (low-grade, training) wheel. If you want a nice wheel for your lightweight vintage machine without going overboard, it's worth it in my book. Those Campy Record hubs just seem to go on forever. Very easy and straight forward to overhaul. Unless abused - they are as smooth as silk. I have a set of Record hubs which I wouldn't consider parting with. They are built with Mavic Module E2 rims and 14g DT spokes. Still rolling fine. The Rigida rims were my other choice for a rim to buy back in 1982.
