I have a nice formula,radial laced to mavic OP front wheel laying around, but its QR. Also have a bolted front hub laying around. Whats involved in making the QR bolted, as simple as switching the parts? I don't wanna have to re-lace the rim to the bolted hub. TIA

The easiest thing to do would be to buy a bolt-on skewer. It will go through the hollow axle on your hub, but instead of having a QR cam, it's got a hex head.

Alternatively, you can replace the axle. That involves buying a solid axle and tracknuts that are threaded the same, removing the guts of the hub (axle, locknuts, cones, spacers, bearings) and putting them back together on the new axle. If you've never rebuilt a hub before, this can be a challenge, or difficult to do correctly.

Alternatively you can just keep the QR. I like riding a QR front. It means that I can just carry a u-lock and when I lock up, just pull off the front wheel and lock it up with my rear.

I got a great wheel on CL. Campy hub to Mavic OP. I didn't need both the front and rear bolt on skewer so I went to the LBS and the parts guru just sold me a front from his secret stash.
Problem solved.

Absolutely...a bolt on skewer is the best solution. I don't ever bother with (15mm nutted) bolt-on fronts, or even track-specific front hubs on my bikes. The bolt-on skewer represents the best of both worlds.

i have a QR on the front track rear. I feel a lot better about locking my bike up with my rear wheel attached to the rear. people will steal anything these days
