Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Some of you may recall a thread about a pair of road shoes that I could not remove the screws from when I tried to change the Look cleats. Go see my initial report on Egg Beater pedals over at Road Cycling. Since the Egg Beater cleats use the SPD screw holes I was able to hacksaw the screws off and salvage the shoes for use with the Egg Beaters. Glad I had put the shoes aside and didn't try anything destructive to get the screws out! Sometimes procrastination pays off!

Or...
You can cut new slots in the heads with a hacksaw, so you can use a standard bladed screwdover on them.
If they might be glued/epoxied in, heat the screwheads with a soldering iron or something else that's hot to breakdown the adhesive.
