Yes, I know it's the bottom end Fuji bike. But I got it for a teriffic price, I LOVE the color, and it rides really nice. Will be my commuter once its set up (I bought the mud guards just need to do her up), and letting my fiancee take care of the rack as a "christmas present surprise". It's also going to be my ride for the Wendys sprint triathalon in the late spring/early summer. I know it won't compete with a lot of the other bikes, but I wont be able to compete with a lot of other riders/triathletes, so the bike and I are probably a lot alike. I am no where near ready to get the most out of even this bike, so as long as the components dont fail, I'm sure i'll be extremely happy.

(Its my big christmas present this year. My fiancee is a senior in college, and is barely working part time. She told me since i had to pay for my own big present, and if I found what I wanted, go ahead and buy it when I wanted. She told me not to get the Kona because that would have eaten our present limit and shes going to pay for the other $100ish of my presents)

Congrats! Isn't it nice to do something for yourself once and a while? This is a great gift because it will keep giving by improving your health and fitness level. Enjoy the new ride.

The Fuji is a beaut! Have fun riding her. I know a few people who ride Fujis and they love it loads.

Nice ride! I really like the color, and it by no means looks low-end. Looks like a very worthy steed, ride the wheels (not literally!) off it.

Your post's title flew right over my head....ABSOLUTEly . Your new Fuji wouldn't be an ABSOLUTE model now, would it? (And I am going to be completely embarrassed if I missed that info in your post.:o)
Love the color!

Thanks for all the compliments on the bike, especially the color. The color is what made me notice it, blue is my favorite and the bike has that kind of half blue/half purple thats hard to miss

Drop the negatives, TKGN. You sound worse than I do, and I'm the Clyde Forum King of Self-deprecation. :(

"It's a great bike. I am going to do great things on it." Repeat these words as needed. Because they're true.

Nice ride Tech!

You will get thousnads upon thousands of happy miles out it. Fuji makes a great product, and is very often over looked for the value they offer for the buck. You are very very close to commuter nirvana. A few must have gadgets and your rack and you are good to go.

A tip of the hat for you and your girl friend keeping an eye on the budget ball and coming up with a very good bike that didn't break the bank. Smart shopping pays off if you stick to it.

I just noticed we live in the same part of the country! Having just moved here from Northern CA, there's no way I'm going to be out riding in today's weather. Its the stationary bike at the gym for me today, thank you very much! :) What part of the city are you in? Where do you ride?

I owe TKGN a ride. I didn't make it past the driveway - the strong winds blew me backwards. I'll try again tomorrow morning.

TKGN, how was your ride on the new steed?

1/2 hour give or take a few minutes of adjustment. I really like the feel of the new bike. very nice. Im thinking of getting the good cold weather gear on and going back out, seems a little less windy now. I got in some wii fit because of the short ride, and while I didnt go all out, it was obvious i was faster working less hard. Cant wait til I have a day when I can see what I can do when Im working hard.

Hey, stop with the negative talk! You got a great bike. Remember, its the rider, not the bike that matters. Anyways, that is a sweet color!

Off topic.....why doesn't other makers offer more color selections? You are lucky to have the choice between two colors.

Ride that sucker!

It is so nice when christmas comes early, i'm waiting on my bike to arrive. They said it should be here around Dec. 15th, but i'm hoping and praying it will be here sooner.

:) It always seems less windy just when I finish my ride! :) (I almost always start into the wind and finish downwind.) Today the wind was so ferocious that I nearly quit after 1/2 mile- but just dropped it into granny ring and chugged along. At turn around I was well below 10mph average. I see you have a triple so you can easily grind out some slow higher cadence miles if need be. The good news: coming home you are riding like a pro! :) Congats on your new ride! :thumb:
