I bought an Easton EC70 Carbon post for my Cannondale road bike and i asked the kid behind the counter if i should grease it or not and he said no. When i got home i realized there was instructions in the tube of the seatpost and they say to grease in aluminum frames but not in carbon frames. Am i reading this correctly?

You don't want to grease carbon period, seatpost or frame.
