Great Lakes - It's Snowing!

Yup. And it's snowing in Ohio. I was hoping to make to December before bustin out the rollers. I guess not.

It's snowing in Los Angeles too.....ash and soot! :-(

Yup! I picked up my kids skis Saturday and they were hoping to open this weekend:D It has beens nowing all day. We have a good 3-4 inches on the ground and are forcasted for snow all week.

Looks like I will test the nokian w240's tomorrow when I drop the youngest of at daycare.

Ann Arbor is usually a bit warmer than the North Side of Chicago, so we're still losing leaves. This snow is not sticking significantly yet.

It was snowing for our cyclocross race today on the South Side of Chicago. Snowed the whole way home. Not sticking yet, but some cars are showing mild accumulation.

I caught some on my ride today.

I got to test my nokian studded tires today and was very impressed. even going up a short hill around 5% the didn't slip and that was pulling a 40 LBS trailer. On the way home (with a empty trailer) I leaned it over on a corner and it was very stable with no slippage. Overall I am very pleased.

Just a few snow flakes around here....no accumulation. I guess that's what happens when you live in the southern part of the Great Lakes region:)

Now I remember why I left Wisconsin 35 years ago.

Do you know why they call Wisconsin a "winter wonderland?" Because every winter everyone sits around and wonders "what the f**k am I doing here???"

I'll be going for a ride down to the ocean today here in Southern California...that is if the soot and ash have finally blown out to sea. :)
