Ten days ago, I either bruised or cracked or broke a rib, or maybe pulled a chest muscle - I just don't know for I haven't yet seen a physician. Anyway, running is painful now, and I haven't yet tried swimming nor biking either. If indeed this recovery turns out to take up to 6 weeks, then what sort of training can I do in the meantime to maintain my aerobic fitness?

Why not do what pro athletes and race horses do when they are injured? Run in place in a swimming pool.
