Fifty Plus (50+) - Right now, how are you reading the 50+ Forum?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I am sitting in my recliner watching TV (Dancing with the Stars) with my wife in the family room with a laptop on wifi on my lap.
How about you?

The usual...sitting in a hotel room on the road as usual, TV on Heroes or some other Sci-Fi show...
Left to right. :roflmao2:
Okay. At my desk in the living room, Thunderbird e-mail in the left monitor, and Firefox in the right one (Dual-monitor rig).
Yow!
And the rear tire just blew. Had trouble seating that one. I guess I'll investigate.

Sitting at the desk in the living room. TV across the room is on Worst Week. About to switch to My Own Worst Enemy.
Laptop? Wi-fi? Sounds like cutting-edge stuff. I've got cat-5 (or6?) cable all the way around the perimeter of the room to the desktop PC. Looking at an LCD monitor, but it's small and cheap.
I have to look over my shoulder at the TV.
Sitting in the den at the keyboard of a laptop with a bird perched on me, watching the type.

Sitting in my recliner in the living room, reading BF on the laptop I bought last weekend, wife in the kitchen, daughter studying at the kitchen table, dog asleep on the floor. TV is only connected to a DVD player, and now with the laptop I can watch DVDs on that.

At the laptop in the living/office/bike storage room. TV is off as it is much of the time, lately.
Hate when that happens!
Darn. One of my studded snows too. There was a funky spot on the bead. It wouldn't seat at all on the front rim, but it seemed to seat all right on the back one. Had trouble seating it last year too, but it went all winter. This year, 4.05 miles. Guess I'll be shopping for another one tomorrow.
And I'm here to tell you, 700x38mm at 65 PSI makes a heluva bang. My ears are still ringing.

I started going so long between times, that I couldn't remember how long it had been. I started keeping a log of how often I watched it. When it got to six months, I listed the thing on Craigslist. That was March of 2004. No TV since.
Thank heavens McCarthyism is over with. I would likely be brought up on charges of being un-American. No car, no TV, no cell phone, no credit cards, no air conditioning, don't eat at fast food restaurants...
In my basement listening to music ... screen is my super big Apple 30" cinema display, easy to view leaning back in the chair.
I'm in the "Man Cave" sitting at my supersize desk, watching the Browns on the other monitor.:fred:

Sitting at the desk in my front room while drinking cabernet and listening to Enya's Shepard Moon and Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon on the CD player through 1970's-era concert sized speakers.
Strange how those two albums, even though they're made 30 years apart, sound so compatible; maybe its the wine?

In the front bedroom, which is not a bedroom at all, anymore. My wife is grading papers and listening to TV (not sure what show) in the living room. The cat has been fed and has wandered off for the night.

Starting my day, it is about 3 am here, in my wifes office / workshop (mine is about 400 meters away so I don't bother yet) Good cup of coffee, catching up on the news, etc. before the day starts.
At work, it's sad but I gave up the internet at home.

My read is that it is fairly conservative, has an income higher than the national average and that there are more bikes per capita here than any where else on earth.
I usually sit in my Ekornes chair (http://www.ekornes.com/us/stressless/stressless_recliners/configurator/?modelnr=100005) or on the sofa with my wireless MacBook Pro on my lap.

Right now--In the bike shed on the laptop trying to find out if the RST fork on a neighbours bike is repairable. It ain't.
Wi fi up to the Broadband Router so I can even log in if I am the bottom of the garden checking out the hammock to see if it needs to be used.

I'm sitting in a car rental booth in the Birmingham airport parking deck. I rarely go to BF at home. As soon as I do the 3 year old wants to log on to Noggin. Not to mention the wife thinks this is a stupid waste of my time anyway.

I honestly tried to figure out how to ride the trainer and work on the computer at the same time - even devised a platform of sorts, but it just didn't work well.

Sitting in a hotel room in INDIA! It is 8pm or so NY time, and 6:30am Chennai time. I've been up since about 4. I haven't been able to fully adjust to the time change after 4 days. By the time I get myself aligned I'll be flying back home.
No cycling here, you'd have to be crazy to ride on these streets.
