Folding Bikes - Strida 2 wheels "lock" when folded?

Hi all, I didn't see a specific post regarding this when searching so here I ask: I just bought a used Strida 2. For folding, it just says "press wheels together" as the last step. The rear wheel has a plastic, um, flange thing around the hub nut, and the front wheel a bit of a plastic flange also, such that it would appear that they would interlock in some way. But they don't seem to. The front wheel flange kinda fits inside the rear flange, but there is no locking or anything, and the two nuts in the center of each just bump into each other. Since this bike is used, I have no idea if there should be some locking piece that's missing. Anyone know, or is this as locked and folded as it gets? The newer models mention a magnet to keep the wheels together. Thanks!
